Check out Backpass, the retro footy mag – and its brand-new ‘Got Not Got’ feature page!

Anyone who has enjoyed Got, Not Got – and that includes everyone who has got one lined up as a Father’s Day surprise – is bound to get a kick out of Backpass.
It’s the retro footy mag that draws a polite veil over the unseemly mess of the Prem, to concentrate in best GNG style on the absurdities, obsessions and good muddy fun of soccer back in the Golden Age (which is to say whenever you were 10).

This summer’s Euro special issue is just arriving on the shelves of all half-decent newsagents – complete with a brand-new regular feature from the GNG blokes, who are taking a club-by-club jaunt through the nation’s footballing memories. So get in touch if you’d like us to do your club, and you’ve got tons of irresistibly luvverly old tat to show off to the world!

Thanks to Gav and Phil at TWTD, the excellent independent Ipswich site, for helping us out with this astonishing Town treasure trove, and for putting us in touch with Alasdair Ross at the Ipswich Collectors Club (58 Lonsdale Close, Ipswich IP4 4HD – send SAE A5 envelope for details and sample copy). Where else to find a Turkish coffee pot gifted by a former-Yugoslavian oppo to a club director… except for 20p at a jumble sale in rural Suffolk?!

Have a peep at the Backpass website here. 64 obsession-stuffed, VanBastentastic pages for the price of a pint…
And please do sample GNG’s phenomenal press reviews and inner pages here – 224 pages of nostalgic bliss knocked down to the price of a round!
