Here’s a sight… a combined West Brom, Aston Villa and Birmingham City team group in the city centre as featured in Football Today magazine in November 1987…

Football Today – a short-lived, but quite popular magazine in the late 80s – took the photo thirty years after the one in the top left hand corner which appeared in the Birmingham Evening Mail in honour of the three clubs appearing in the 1957 FA Cup semi-finals.

10 points for naming all 50 of them, we’ll throw in the Lord Mayor of Birmingham Cllr Fred Gattridge for free.

    Interesting to note that the Birmingham shirts have no sponsor name on them. Was the club without a sponsor, or were they wearing training shirts instead of their match day shirts?

    That was their proper kit. It was sponsored by CO-OP Milk at some stage.
