Appearing on a Football Sticker – how to do it…

If we have learned anything from this blog it is this…

If you want to muscle your way into a football sticker you have to hang around near the tunnel…
That is how this little firm of Cov kids managed to crash these FKS Soccer Stars 1976-77 specimens.

The distinctive wooden panelling and light blue scarf tell us that this Stuart ‘Pancho’ Pearson sticker was taken at Highfield Road, Coventry…

With the John Cheadle coat and Rupert the Bear checked trousers is it possible that the Cov Kids have even managed to out-groove Steve Coppell and his fantastic Admiral Manchester United tracksuit?

If you are one of these kids, or have ever appeared in a sticker than let us know…

If you wish you’d appeared in a sticker in the 1970s then you should probably buy the retro-footy-grumble-fest ‘Got, Not Got’… runner-up in this year’s Footy Book of the Year, and this Xmas’s must-have stocking filler. Available from branches of WH Smith and Waterstones or online here
