Mel Park – Home of Melchester Rovers

I suppose that Melchester Rovers’ Mel Park, the first all-seater stadium in Britain – now qualifies as a ‘lost ground’…

After yesterday’s revelations, we now know that Melchester is in, or very near to, Chester.
Sadly, with the demise of Roy of the Rovers comic, we must assume that Mel Park, beautiful art-deco West Stand and all, is no more.
