In the days before saturated TV coverage there were fewer chances of getting your fifteen minutes of fame…

Being on the front of the programme was one…

My mate Steve made it onto the front of the Leicester City programme in 1975-76. There he is, (below) in the photo above the cartoon fox – pointed out by Frank Worthington’s elbow; unmistakable in his National Health specs, wearing the plastic peaked cap he bought for 7p.

I’m still jealous….

  1. Back in the days when men were men, boys wore blue whilst girls were made of all things nice.

    Interesting that the programme cost more than double what that cap did.
